A- Spousal Sponsorship
A Canadian citizen or permanent resident may sponsor his or her spouse, common-law partner, same-sex partner, conjugal partner, or dependent children who live in or outside Canada to become permanent residents of Canada. Certain requirements must be met by both you, as the sponsor, and your relative.
B- Parental Sponsorship
Citizens and permanent residents of Canada may sponsor their parents and grandparents for immigration to Canada. Sponsored parents and grandparents will be granted permanent resident status, allowing them to stay in Canada indefinitely, work or study, and access social services such as medical care.
